Summary of Qualifications

Doniphan Blair is a filmmaker, writer and painter and commercial artist, who is currently the creative director of A Media, a web, graphic and video studio in Oakland, California. A graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute (1990) with a BFA in film/video, he has worked as a director, editor, art director, writer and producer obtaining a wide variety of experience in documentary and commercial film and video production, both in the United States and abroad, and receiving a San Francisco International Film & Video Festival Award (1989). He is also a graphic/web designer and photographer/illustrator, who has created communication material for social service, art, political and commercial institutions, and a writer/researcher who has produced screenplays, novellas and articles on artists, politics and philosophy — in 1984, he received a Pacific North-West Journalism Association Award for an interview with a Holocaust survivor. Fifty-two years old and fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he has lived in New York, Peru and Brazil and currently resides in Oakland, California.
